NEWS AND EVENTS

The Art of the Paso Robles Art Association at the Paso Robles City Library

October 13, 2009 - Members of the Paso Robles Art Association will be display their work at the Paso Robles City Library during the month of November. Media includes paintings, photography, graphics, and drawings. The purpose of the Paso Robles Art Association is to provide Northern San Luis Obispo County with quality artwork and raise awareness and appreciation of art in the community. Their mission has a component of youth education in local schools and community outreach programs.

The Public is invited to enjoy this free exhibit the entire month of November 2009. The Paso Robles City Library, located at 1000 Spring Street, is open Monday through Friday 10-8 and Saturday 10-5.

Family-Fun
Drop-In Crafts

Power-up your creativity and drop-by the Library between 3:00 and 5:00 on the following dates to create a seasonal craft. Materials are offered on a first-come, first served basis as supplies last. Some materials may not be appropriate for toddlers.

Wreath Making

Thursday, December 3

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holidays to make a beautiful decoration for your home and share in the spirit of giving at this annual, fun-filled event. The Library will provide wreath forms, pins, wire, bows, and instruction. Light refreshments will also be served. Sign ups for this event begin on November 16 at the Library Circulation Desk. Space is limited (minimum 20 participants). Family groups are welcome.

Wreath makers, please bring cut greens such as evergreens, pepper berries, herbs and eucalyptus and other of nature’s gifts such as pine cones, moss, shells, twigs, or pieces of bark to share. You will also need to provide your own gardening clippers, gardening gloves, and any other decorations you may wish to include on your own wreath such as small ornaments, ribbons, or dried flowers.
