BUILDING MAINTENANCE DIVISION
Building Maintenancesounds simple, doesnt it? However, consider the skills needed to work for Building Maintenance: plumbing; electrical; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; cabinetry; repair; locksmith; metal fabrication and the ability to handle anything else that may come up.
The City maintains approximately 130,000-square-feet of buildings, 400,000 gallons of pools, and a one-million gallon lake at Barney Schwartz Park. This includes maintenance of all restrooms (in public buildings and parks), and ancillary facilities such as score sheds and snack bars at the parks. Building Maintenance staff also is responsible for all of the playground equipment in the parks. All public meeting/conference set up and clean up is done by building maintenance staff, as well.
Shown below are a few of the many buildings Building Maintenance is responsible for.
