CURBSIDE RECYCLING
All information below is provided by Paso Robles Waste Disposal. For questions or more information about anything on this page, please contact Paso Robles Waste Disposal at 238-2381.
Curbside recycling in the City of Paso Robles is provided by Paso Robles Waste Disposal. They currently pick up green waste and household recycling to single-family residential customers and cardboard and white paper recycling to commercial customers. Paso Robles Waste Disposal, Inc. collects green waste and blue bin household recycling weekly. By getting all residents involved in recycling, our city is looking to meet the mandated 50% reduction of solid waste going to the landfill.
All green waste materials listed below can be placed into your 96-gallon green automated container. Remember, the lids must close.
- Leaves
- Plant prunings
- Grass
- Weeds with a minimum of soil
- Tree trimmings
- Clean yard waste
Place automated container on the street next to your trash and blue bin by 6:00 a.m. Be sure to have a 3-foot clearance on all sides. Lids must close on your green waste and trash containers. Trucks run on all holidays except Christmas, regular schedule, 51 weeks a year.
Contamination
Clean green waste is a must. The green waste truck has a video camera to monitor
green waste container contents as it is emptied. Containers contaminated with trash
will receive a service charge of $7.40 per incident. Repeat offenders will have
containers removed.
Old Garbage Can Recycling
If you dont want your old metal or plastic trash can, put them out to be recycled.
Just put them out empty and upside down on your regular pickup day and we will take
them away.

Cardboard Recycling (For Commercial Businesses)
If you choose to participate in cardboard recycling, the following rules apply:
- If you have available space to place a cardboard bin, it must be placed on a
level surface with easy access. We are happy to come out and discuss a location at
your convenience.
- Lids must close; service is based on a level load. Over-filled bins cause
spillage of materials during emptying. If you need to increase your service, please
call our office.
- Cardboard bins are for cardboard only! NO WAXY OR PLASTIC COATED CARDBOARD. Any
bins with trash will be left or can be emptied as trash for an additional charge.
Cardboard can only be recycled if it is clean. Bins with contaminated cardboard will
be left. If there are continuous problems, bins will be removed.
- In order for you to utilize bin space, boxes need to be broken down and
flattened before being thrown in bin. If boxes are not flattened, the bin cannot
empty properly.
- Cardboard may be emptied up to 5 times a week.
A Cardboard Contract must be signed in order for a container to be delivered. Recycling is very important. Thank you for participating in this program.
