See The First Boeing Airliner: 1928 Boeing 40

1928 Boeing 40C - FlyerWednesday, May 20
3:00 - 6:00 pm.
Paso Robles Municipal Airport

Come see the first Boeing Airliner & Airmail airplane! Painstakingly restored, the only Boeing 40 flying in the world and the oldest Boeing flying. This airplane crashed on a mountain in 1928 and was not flown again until 2008. Accompanying the Boeing is a 1930 Stearman 4E Jr. Speedmail built for carrying airmail and see the only 1928 Laird LBC 300 Biplane flying.

Get up close to history. Meet the pilots who fly and care for these national treasures. See how the airmail was carried in 1928-1933. See how the earliest passengers traveled. The Boeing & Stearman celebrated the 75th anniversary of the airmail in 2008 flying Airmail from New York to San Francisco. This will be the only time the Boeing will be on the Central Coast. This chance will only come along once in a lifetime! Flyer
