Storm Water Program Feedback

The City of Paso Robles is enrolled in the Phase II Municipal Storm Water Program as required by the State Water Resources Control Board.  The program requires the City to develop and implement a Storm Water Management Plan (SWMP) in order to reduce or eliminate pollutants in Storm water runoff and non-storm water discharges.

The SWMP describes the Best Management Practices (BMPs), measurable goals, and timetables for implementation of the following six minimum Control measures:

Storm Water Management Plan (SWMP)

In compliance with the State Water Resources Control Board’s General Permit NO. CAS000004, Storm Water Discharges from Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems, the City of Paso Robles developed a Storm Water Management Program. Under this program, the City will educate and involve the community in Storm Water pollution prevention, regulate Storm Water run-off from construction sites, investigate non-Storm Water discharges and reduce non-Storm Water run-off from municipal operations.

The City of Paso Robles Storm Water Management Plan (SWMP) dated December 2004, was approved by the Central Valley Water Quality Control Board on January 6 , 2005. This Annual Report describes the activities completed during the second (or 2006-2007) reporting period, as defined in the SWMP.

You can download and view the City's approved Storm Water Management Plan [pdf:421k/80pp] here or review hard copies, which are available in the Public Library and at the Public Works Administration Office at City Hall, 1000 Spring Street, 2nd Floor.  Bound versions are also available for purchase for $35 from Public Works Administration at City Hall.
