Ancestry Library Edition |
|
|
This vendor does not allow access from computers outside
the library. Ancestry Library Edition contains
searchable databases of historical books, photos, maps
and census records, primarily from the United States,
England and Canada. This database includes over 4
billion names and 500,000 family trees. It provides
extensive coverage of the U.S., including census data,
birth, marriage, and death records, WWI draft
registration cards, Social Security death records, and
immigration lists. Visit your local library for access
to this database.

HeritageQuest online combines digital, searchable images
of U.S. federal census records with the digitized
version of the poular UMI Genealogy and Local History
collection and other valuable content. In addition to
U.S. Federal census data (1790-1930), HeritageQuest
Online includes over 20,000 family and local history
books and over 250 primary source documents such as tax
lists, city directories, and probate records.
HeritageQuest Online can be used at home as well as in
the library.

extensive information from the National Institutes of Health and
other trusted sources on hundreds of diseases and conditions.
There are also directories of hospitals and physicians, medical
dictionaries and encyclopedias, extensive information on

clinical trials, and health information in Spanish.

Scholastic BookFlix is a new online literacy resource that pairs classic video storybooks from Weston Woods with

and fiction, BookFlix reinforces early reading skills and introduces children to a world of knowledge and exploration.

TumbleBookLibrary is a collection of online e-books for children in kindergarten to grade five. There are over 200 animated, talking picture books with exciting audio narration, highlighted text, and engaging illustrations. There are also 93 language learning books, 25 Read-Alongs, and 22 non fiction books.

skill-building resources, helping both students and adults prepare for a wide range of
academic and career-oriented exams as well as to improve basic skills in reading, writing,
and math. In addition, job-skills tutorials are available to assist in creating a great
resume, honing interviewing techniques, and improving business communications. Patrons
also have the option of selecting from more than 130 e-book titles to help learners of all
ages prepare for success. The innovative platform includes self-paced study, instant scoring
and diagnostic feedback and can be accessed from computers at the Paso Robles City Library,
and from home with your Paso Robles library card. You will be asked to set up your own account.
