Photographer Paul McCloskey
Paso Robles - Artist Paul McCloskey likes to think of his photography as painting with a sacred light. He believes this to be as much an artistic technique as a philosophy on the creative process and living creatively. He attempts to portray and communicate not only the breathtaking beauty in nature, but also the ambiance and spirit of it using natural light to help "paint" his photographs. McCloskey considers himself to be somewhat of a “digital alchemist," and refers to his art/work as "Photo-Painting," - a convergence of today’s digital photography/imaging technology with digital printmaking and the fine art of plein-air painting. "It's all about light," McCloskey states.
McCloskey’s photographs will be on display in the Paso Robles City Library the month of May. The Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday – Friday 10-8, and Saturday 10-5.
