Video Library The Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services has Life Safety Videotapes available to any citizen who wishes to learn about life safety issues or simply enhance the quality of their lives. By completing a simple check-out card at the Department of Emergency Services’ Administrative Office, the following videos may be borrowed for 3-5 days.

Choking, drowning, poisoning, head injuries, cuts, burns, first aid injury prevention and other safety information.

LESSON IN SCHOOL FIRE DRILLS
SAM's Lesson in School Fire Drills stresses the importance of fire drills and the dangers of false alarms. SAM and his partner, Firefighter Jim, show the class what to do when the fire alarm goes off and teach viewers that fire safety is essential. They use a music video style and catchy lyrics set to the tunes of songs most children know.

(18 years or Mother-to-be) A very good video on the subjects of: breast-feeding, bottle-feeding, introduction to solid foods, skin care, interaction through touch and diaper rash. Also includes baby's laundry, sleeping habits, colic, postpartum period, exercise and being a parent.

An earthquake safety videotape designed especially for persons with developmental disabilities. (7 minutes, 40 seconds)

FIRE SENSE
A video for the hearing impaired concentrating on the Stop-Drop-Roll technique. This video is one of a series of programs for people with various disabilities.

DROP/ROLL
A video for the hearing impaired.

The Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services will attempt to purchase additional videos each year. A broad spectrum of subjects are forthcoming, including: Peer Pressure, Stress, First Aid, CPR, Home Addressing and many other subjects.
