CHAPTER 5.38
Massage Therapy and Massage Establishments

Purpose and Intent

It is the purpose and intent of the city council that massage establishments and massage practitioners and therapists be regulated in the interests of public health, safety, and welfare, to maintain minimum building sanitation and health standards, to ensure that massage practitioners and therapists possess the minimum qualifications to perform the massage treatments offered and that such treatments are offered in a lawful and professional manner, and to ensure that massage establishments are operated in a lawful and professional manner.
