Department Overview
As the name implies, Public Works keeps City facilities working to serve the public. From the streets to the airport, parks to the water tanks, buildings to buses, sewers to capital projects; Public Works fixes, upgrades, replaces, refinishes, cleans and otherwise maintains all City owned public property. Public Works staff strives to ready our everyday surroundingsfrom setting up buildings for public meetings, painting street markings in the early hours before traffic builds, preparing community swimming pools for lessons and competitions, or designing new projects from our City Hall office.
