AIRPORT USERS' FEE SCHEDULE
The Airport Advisory Committee has recently undertaken a review of the adopted Airport Rules & Regulations to determine accuracy and relevance to current airport operations. The Advisory Committee’s draft findings are that the majority of the Rules and Regulations document remains relevant and no modification is necessary. However, Section 12 of the Regulations document, which is the Airport Users’ Fee Schedule, was suggested for change.
Many of the prescribed user fees have not been updated for almost 20 years. Accordingly, the Advisory Committee is considering a recommendation to the City Council for certain fees to be increased. The purpose of the proposed fee adjustments would be to more closely align with the current market, the economic indicators commonly used to monitor said changes (CPI), and the fees charged at surrounding airports for similar services rendered.
The draft user fee schedule revision is provided for public review and comment. The Airport Advisory Committee will discuss the user fee schedule at their next regular meeting on Thursday, September 22, 2011, at 7:00 PM, at the airport terminal. The public may comment at that time. Any action taken by the Airport Advisory Committee will be a recommendation to the City Council.
