STORM DRAINS

The storm drain system is designed to prevent flooding by carrying excess rainwater into the sewage system. Below are before and after pictures of Park Street showing the effectiveness of a well designed and built storm drain.

The Streets Maintenance Division maintains storm drains, endeavoring to keep them clear and free of debris. To report a clogged storm drain or a missing or damaged grate, fill out an Action Request Form.

Chemical spills in a street or storm drain should be reported immediately to the Fire Department at 237-3973.
