Water Rates - Public Hearing
The City Council conducted a public hearing and adopted Resolution 15-135 establishing a revised water rate structure effective January 1, 2017.
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 1025, adopted on April 5, 2016, a new water rate will take effect on January 1, 2017. The new rate will reflect a change in the City’s water rate structure from the current all-consumption based water usage rate to a combined fixed-charge/variable, consumption-based-charge water rate as shown below. This per unit usage charge is the same for every class of customer. One unit of water equals 100 cubic feet (“HCF”) or 748 gallons. Ordinance No. 1025 provides the scheduled increase which will take effect on January 1, 2017.
