Message from Ann Robb
Director of Library & Recreation Services

Fall 2009

Ann RobbWelcome to the fall Activity Guide! As the weather cools and school begins, we focus this guide on the City Library. Our library is a community treasure, a resource not just for students, but for people of all ages and all walks of life. You can come as a family to find a great read-aloud, use the internet to create and send out your resume, peruse the newspapers and magazines, or check out a book on CD to play as you drive. These are just a few of the many offerings available, thanks to our knowledgeable staff and volunteers who contribute their time and talents to promote excellent library service.

I invite you to explore the library’s many resources and make the most of what it has to offer. And even though we spotlight the library, this issue is filled with so much more – sports, classes, arts, workshops, trips and special events abound. Enjoy this Activity Guide, and keep it close at hand when you look for ways to fill and enrich your life this fall.
