Meet your City Treasurer

Ryan Cornell, City Treasurer and Director of Administrative Services

Ryan Cornell was elected as Treasurer in 2020, when the prior Treasurer announced their retirement from the City after 32 years. Mr. Cornell has 18 years of local government experience and also serves as the City’s Administrative Services Director, providing oversight to not only treasury-related activities, but also human resources, risk management, finance, accounting and information technology services. Prior to joining the City of Paso Robles, Ryan worked as the Finance Manager for the Cities of Arroyo Grande and Santa Maria.

A 2000 graduate of Arroyo Grande High School, he received his bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University in 2005 in Business Administration with a concentration in public accounting. He also holds a Certified Public Manager Certificate, a nationally accredited, comprehensive management development program specifically designed to prepare managers for careers in federal, state, local government and in other organizations with a public purpose.
