Make It @ the Library!Make It At Your Library - April Collage

Spring Collage, Saturday, April 6
10:30 am-12:30 pm.

Create a pretty Spring bouquet inspired by the book Cut Paper Pictures by Clover Robin. Cut, piece and layer scrapbook paper to fashion a floral display you will be happy to hang on your wall. Space is limited. Visit the Library Event Calendar to sign up. This class is for ages 16+.

Paso Robles Book Group Reads Girl's Guide to Missiles

Thursday, April 18th from 7:00-8:00 pmGirl_s Guide to Missiles (graphic)

Join the Book Group's discussion of A Girl’s Guide to Missiles by Karen Piper. Booklist magazine describes this nonfiction work as, “A surreal and poignant coming of age on a secretive missile facility, and an incredible view of life in a town built for war." The Library’s Book Club is for readers ages 16+ and meets monthly throughout the year. Signups are not necessary. For more information, call Karen Christiansen at 805-237-3870.

Celebrate National Poetry Month Drop In and Haiku! Haiku

Wednesday, April 17th from 2:00-5:00 pm.

Create a haiku, a three-lined, 5-7-5 syllable pattern non-rhyming poem, in the style of Japanese poetry on card stock and embellish it using colored pencils, markers, etc. Then, give it to a friend or loved one to cherish. While supplies last.


This Month’s Maker Monday! Egg Drop ChallengeEgg protected by straws

Monday, April 22, 4:00-5:00 pm

Come test your skills at protecting your little egg-man. Last egg standing wins the coveted Egg Trophy!

Maker Mondays are the fourth Monday of every month. The program is free but limited to the first 30 participants. Free admission tickets are available at the Children’s Desk beginning at 3:30 pm the day of the program.
