Paso Book Group Reads: Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

Zoom Meetup: Thursday, October 21, 6:00-7:00 pm
After receiving a frantic letter from her cousin begging for someone to save her from a mysterious doom, Noemí Taboada heads to High Place, a distant house in the Mexican countryside. However, the house begins to invade her dreams with visions of blood and doom. As Noemí digs deeper she unearths stories of violence and madness. Mesmerized by the terrifying yet seductive world of High Place, Noemí may soon find it impossible to ever leave this enigmatic house behind. The title is available in regular and large print through the library and as an eBook or audiobook on the Overdrive/Libby platform. Space is limited. Registration is required for all participants. Zoom Meetup: Thursday, October 28, 6:00-7:00 pm
In keeping with the October theme of “A Good Scare,” create a pair of skeletons, similar to the ones depicted, using simple supplies including felt and embroidery floss. To participate, register before October 14; once registered, participants will receive details about picking up the Día de los Muertos craft kit and information on the Zoom meetup on Thursday, October 28, 6:00-7:00 pm. Space is limited. Registration with library card is required for each participant to receive craft materials. For ages 16+.

Tuesdays: Try It! with Melissa 4:00 pm. Pick up a craft kit in the library the Wednesday before and craft with Miss Melissa on Tuesday.
Wednesdays: Animal Tales Story Time with Miss Frances 3:00 pm. Craft kits available to take home starting the Monday before.
Thursdays: Mother Goose on the Loose with Miss Carrie 9:00 am
Fridays: Toddler Story Time with Miss Cappy 10:00 am. Craft kits available to take home starting the Monday before.
