Getting a Library Card

Visit the library to apply for your library card. 

Cards for Adults ages 18 and over

To get a library card, adults must present valid photo identification and proof of current mailing address.  Adults unable to provide proof of address may receive a limited access* card. To receive full checkout privileges, proof of address must be presented. 

Cards for Teens ages 13 through 17

Teens 13 through 17 years of age may apply for a limited access* Teen Card by presenting valid photo identification. To receive full check out privileges, teens must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian presenting valid photo identification and proof of current mailing address.

Cards for Children under 13 years of age

Children under 13 years of age applying for a library card must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian must present valid photo identification and proof of current mailing address.

Internet Only Cards

Internet Only cards provide users over the age of 13 with access to the Library’s public Internet computers only. Internet Only cards do not allow for the checkout of materials. Identification and proof of address are not required for this card type.

eLibrary Access Only

For access to eLibrary materials only, you can apply online. eLibrary cards are only valid for three months. After three months the patron will need to come to the library with valid photo identification and proof of mailing address to apply for a regular card.  

Confidentiality

  • A library card or valid government-issued photo ID is required to access library accounts. (For users under 18, this can be school issued ID.)
  • Parents/guardians may only access their child’s account information when the child is present or his or her card/card number is presented.
