The Zoning Code is Title 21 of the Paso Robles Municipal Code (Title 21) and available on line at: On-Line Zoning Code

Purpose of Zoning Districts

A zoning district describes the general use, density, and type of development allowed in that area. All buildings, land use, or any type of physical development must comply with the regulations for each zoning district.

Each property is located within a base zoning district. Several properties are also located within overlay zoning districts, which either provide for additional permitted uses or impose additional development regulations.

Uptown/Town Centre Specific Plan

The Uptown/Town Centre Specific Plan contains its own zoning regulations for properties within the specific plan area. The Zoning Map linked below shows zoning districts for all properties in the city, including properties in the Uptown/Town Centre Specific Plan Area. The specific plan has its own Zoning Matrix (PDF).

Zoning Matrix

The Zoning Matrix (PDF) lists all permitted and conditional uses in different zoning districts. 

If interested in zoning and land use information, determine the zoning designation and then look up the zoning designation in the Zoning Matrix (PDF).

If interested in zoning and land use information, check the zoning on the Zoning Map (PDF) and then look up the zoning designation in the Uptown/Town Centre Specific Plan Zoning Matrix (PDF) (Table 5.3-1).
