Pioneer Park is located on Riverside Avenue adjacent to the Paso Robles Event Center (Mid-State Fairgrounds). Amenities include a softball field with bleachers, announcing booth and scoreboard, full basketball court, playground, restrooms, and a picnic area available to rent.

The park is located right next to  Pioneer Museum where you can step back in time and see the Paso Robles of many years ago.

Picnic Area

The Pioneer Park Picnic Area is situated between the skate park and Pioneer Museum and includes an approximately 1,200 square foot lawn area shaded by large oak trees. The site includes 2 picnic tables but no access to water or electricity. The site is about 10 yards from the small playground and is available for parties with less than 100 people.

Alcohol is only allowed at the park with a permit. No dogs allowed.

To reserve a facility via email or in person, download and complete the Application for Use of Facilities and return it to Recreation Services at Centennial Park, along with a check for the appropriate amount (see fees below). Applications can also be emailed to recservices@prcity.com

Applications must be submitted no less than 7 days or more than 180 days prior to the requested reservation date. 

If your event will include alcohol, you will need to submit an Application for Use of Alcoholic Beverages at least 30 days prior to your date. Alcohol Permits include a $34 non-refundable fee. Please download and complete the Application for Use of Alcoholic Beverages and return it to Recreation Services at Centennial Park, or email to recservices@prcity.com

Rental Rate
Each picnic area is $34/hour and requires a 2 hour reservation minimum.
Nonprofit groups may reserve picnic areas for $26/hour (these reservations cannot be made online).

Pioneer Skate Park is an outdoor, concrete skate park consisting of bowls, quarter pipes, ledges and banks. The park is open daily from dawn until dusk and helmets are required. Skateboards, scooters and rollerblades are allowed. Bikes are not allowed.
