On Saturday, February 23 from 1:00-4:00 p.m., thanks to generous funding from the Friends of the Library, two fast-paced card games will be featured—Fluxx and Exploding Kittens.
The rules for the game of Fluxx are deceptively simple – draw and card and play a card—but wait! The rules constantly change as do the goals for winning the game! In the zany Exploding Kittens game, the goal is to avoid drawing an “exploding kitten” card – if you draw the card, you may “explode” and be out of the game. Other cards can help you to avoid “exploding” by diffusing the exploding kitten card or avoiding drawing a card altogether, and, don’t worry, no kittens (or game players) are actually exploded during the game.
If you are not inspired by our featured game, you can play any of the games owned by the library, such as Arkham Horror: The Card Game and Photosynthesis and classic games such as Life and Clue. Light refreshments will be provided.
Registration for this event is recommended. Register online using the Library event calendar at http://www.prcity.com/246/Classes-Events.
