Take a Virtual Field Trip!

Library provides helpful field trip websites to keep everyone engaged in learning

PASO ROBLES, CA – Over the next few days, the Paso Robles City Library will share suggested websites to help parents and students stay engaged in learning. Below are recommended sites for families to take some virtual field trips! 

Discovery Channel Virtual Field Trips 
Watch live or watch on demand later. Each no-cost Virtual Field Trip comes with a companion guide packed with standards-aligned, hands-on learning activities! 

Go to Mars with NASA’s Curiosity Rover 
Explore the Martian surface as it was recorded by the Curiosity rover 

British Museum, London  
Interactive site letting users choose points in history for information 

Google Arts & Culture 
Features the arts and cultures showcased in museums and galleries around the world, including the Guggenheim, New York; National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; Musée d’Orsay, Paris; National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul; Pergamon Museum, Berlin; Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam; Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam; Getty Museum, Los Angeles; Uffizi Gallery, Florence; MASP – Museu de Arte de São Paulo, São Paulo; The National Museum of Anthropology, Mexico City; Musée du Louvre, Paris; and the White House

For those without a current library account wishing to access digital resources, eCards are available (for ages 13 and up) through the Black Gold Cooperative Library System. Visit https://www.blackgold.org for eCard information and registration.
