The City of Paso Robles is asking for input from residents in the Sherwood Acres neighborhood and users of Sherwood Park, Sherwood Dog Park, Sherwood Forest and Oak Creek Park.

PASO ROBLES, CA – The City of Paso Robles is asking for input from residents in the Sherwood Acres neighborhood and users of Sherwood Park, Sherwood Dog Park, Sherwood Forest and Oak Creek Park to tell the City recreational projects they would like to see included in a Master Plan that will chart the future of those parks.

Neighborhood residents and park users are being asked to give input at the November 6, 2018 City Council meeting.

This is the third round of outreach to gather community input about the future of the parks in the Sherwood area. The first two events took place on August 11 and September 25.

“The majority of suggestions so far have come from young families and retirees, which has been very valuable,” says the City’s Maintenance Superintendent, Freda Berman. “We would also like to hear from those who weren’t able to make our first two workshops. We are still hoping to hear from residents who regularly use the basketball courts, soccer fields and existing event space.”

Anyone interested in giving feedback on the future of the Sherwood Park area should attend the November 6, 2018 Paso Robles City Council Meeting at 6:30PM at 1000 Spring Street. Those not able to attend in person can submit their suggestions online here: http://bit.ly/SherwoodIdeas or by calling 805.237.3883 or via email at info@prcity.com.

About the Sherwood Park Area Master Plan Project:

Funding for the Sherwood Park Master Plan was approved in the FY16/17 budget and allocates funding to research and develop a master plan for the parks in the Sherwood Acres neighborhood, based on community input and neighborhood user needs. The Master Plan will provide a “road map” for any future updates to the park that will be funded through the City’s budget projects and/or grant funding.
