Ballot Drop Box at City LibraryThe Paso Robles City Library currently has a safe, convenient receptacle for Vote-by-Mail ballots, located by the Circulation Desk. It will be in place until 8:00 PM on the night of the primary election on March 3, 2020. The library is located at 1000 Spring Street and has free parking in back.
When you drop in your ballot, be sure to get your "I Voted" sticker!

Please Read and Comment - EIR for Paso Robles "Gateway" AnnexationThe Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Paso Robles Gateway Annexation is available for community review and comment from February 28 - April 13, 2020. The site is 170 acres at the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 46W and includes two hotels with up to 425 rooms, approximately 75,600 sf of commercial space, a 30,000-sf conference center and up to 97 residential units. South Vine Street would be realigned to connect with Theatre Drive. Details

Crime, Fire & Rescue StatsPaso Robles PD and Emergency Services will be giving brief presentations at the Tuesday, March 3, 2020 City Council meeting to report out on recent local crime statistics and fire and rescue numbers. Beechwood EIR Coming SoonThe public comment period for the Beechwood Specific Plan is set to begin the first week of March. The public is asked to review the environmental impact report and submit comments, questions or concerns to the Planning Department so that all comments can become part of the public record in the Final EIR that will accompany the proposed plan when it comes forward to the City Council. Community Priorities PresentationCity staff is on a speaking to tour to gather input from local groups about community priorities prior to City Council budget adoption. The presentations will begin March 9, 2020 and run through mid-April. Homeless Services UpdateThe City and the El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO) co-hosted a forum on Homeless Services on February 26, to inform residents about the process and timeline for constructing the recently approved emergency warming shelter in Paso Robles. This is the first in a series of public information and discussion forums for the community to come and learn about the plans to address the challenges for those experiencing homelessness. Details

Olsen-South Chandler Development ApprovedCity Council approved the proposed Olsen-South Chandler Ranch Specific Plan development, which allows for the development of up to 1,293 residential units, up to 9,800 square feet of commercial/non-residential use, as well as 29,335 square feet of community amenities including a community building and a private recreational center. Complete buildout of the development is expected to take several years or more.
