Budget Discussions at City Council The COVID-19 pandemic has had significant negative impacts on the City’s revenues. This will impact the nature and scope of the services the City can offer. City Council will discuss the next steps in adopting the 2021 budget at their meeting on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 6:30 PM. Beechwood Virtual Open HouseApplicants for the Beechwood Specific Plan Project are inviting residents to participate in a “Virtual” Open House to learn about the updated Project and provide an opportunity for comment. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Open House is being presented on the internet here starting Monday, June 8, 2020.

Paso Robles Gateway AnnexationThe City Council will consider the Gateway Annexation project at their teleconference meeting, Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 6:30 PM. The 170-acre site is located northwest of the intersection of Highways 101 and 46W.
The project would result in the development of two hotels, three commercial centers, a conference center, and up to 97 residential units. South Vine Street would be realigned to connect with Theatre Drive.

Free Testing for All ResidentsAny San Luis Obispo County resident can now get tested for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in about five minutes at the following locations: - Paso Robles - remaining at the Paso Vets hall until Friday, June 5
- Grover Beach- continuing at the Ramona Garden Park Center
- San Luis Obispo Vets Hall - opening on Monday, June 8
- Cambria - Pop up testing at Cambria Vets Memorial - June 1 and June 2
- Los Osos - Pop up testing at the Red Barn - June 3 and June 4
Testing is free by appointment, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Paso Robles Veteran’s Center, 240 Scott Street. Schedule online or call 888-634-1123.

Limited Recreation Services AvailableBeginning June 1, Recreation Services will reopen the tennis and pickleball courts at Centennial Park and will also begin offering a limited number of modified versions of popular indoor classes but held outside at various locations throughout the park. Library Curbside Service Beginning June 1, Library patrons who wish to reserve items available in the Paso Robles Library and patrons with items currently being held in the Paso Robles Library can obtain those items through curbside service, Monday-Saturday, 10-4. All returned items will be placed in quarantine for 72 hours prior to check in. Details

Bilingual Story TimeJoin Library Staff member Miss Cristina each Friday on the library web page for Cuentos with Miss Cristina, a bilingual Story Time appropriate for all ages and both bilingual and monolingual families. “We are so excited to be able to offer a Bilingual Story Time to our patrons. Our original plan was to unveil this new Story Time during our Summer Reading Program with in-person classes, but decided it would be fun to add this program to our ever-growing line-up of virtual programs patrons can watch from home,” states Youth Services Librarian Melissa Bailey. The Paso Robles City Library invites the public to participate in Imagine Your Story, June 8-August 28—this year’s new and exciting virtual format of its very popular Summer Reading Program. Read 10 hours and earn a drawing ticket for each hour. In addition, there will be home activities and online activities that will earn participants even more drawing tickets. More info here on June 8
