City Council Welcomes New MemberMaria Garcia was sworn in as a Paso Robles City Councilmember on Tuesday, December 5, 2018, along with reelected Mayor Steve Martin and reelected Councilmember John Hamon. Ms. Garcia is the third woman elected to City Council in the history of Paso Robles and the first woman elected since 1984.

Community Meetings to Discuss Changing to District ElectionsDriven by a legal challenge, the City is transitioning from the current at-large system of electing the City Council to a by-district election model. Your input is needed to help draft boundary maps for the new districts. A public hearing is scheduled for December 18, 2018 during the regular City Council meeting. More details here.

Sherwood Park Master Plan OptionsAfter multiple rounds of community meetings to gather input and ideas, the project designer has drafted two sets of plans for the Sherwood Park area and we invite you to tell us what you think.

Bicycle & Pedestrian Master PlanFor the first time since 2009 the City is updating its bikeway master plan and adding a pedestrian element to integrate “complete streets” for all modes of transportation, including cars, transit, bicycles, and pedestrians for all levels of mobility. Resident outreach began in 2017 and included 6 public meetings. The Planning Commission has reviewed the plan twice and is recommending City Council adopt the plan on December 18, 2018 at its regular meeting. View plan here.

Concerts in the Park Call for TalentThe City of Paso Robles is seeking musical talent for the 2019 Concerts in the Park season. This highly popular family-friendly concert series attracted over 25,000 attendees in the summer of 2018. These free shows feature a wide variety of local and regional musical entertainment performing in the Paso Robles City Park gazebo. Musicians interested in consideration for the 2019 season must submit a press kit by Wednesday, January 16, 2019.
