Rapid Response/Active Shooter DrillPaso PD and Fire will be conducting an active shooter drill on November 22, 2019 from 2:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Residents and businesses in the area of Paso Robles City Hall, 1000 Spring St, should not be alarmed with the increased presence of law enforcement and fire personnel in the area. More details here.

Niblick Corridor Plan DraftNiblick Road has an accident rate 3 times higher than the state average in some locations. Residents came together with City consultants in early November to brainstorm ways to improve the Niblick Corridor, make it safer and get it to flow better. The closing presentation is here, input can be sent to engineering@prcity.com. Draft designs will be out in February for more public review.

New Commissioners AppointedThe City Council conducted advisory body interviews on November 14, 2019 and appointed Thomas Hardwick and Mike Leahy to the Supplemental Tax Oversight Committee. PRPD Wins Traffic Enforcement GrantThe Paso Robles Police Department will be using a one-year, $30,000.00 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to conduct traffic enforcement, officer training, and public awareness. This grant is aimed at reducing the number of persons killed and injured in alcohol-related collisions, as well as lower DUI recidivism rates. Grant funding will be used to conduct DUI checkpoints, vehicle code enforcement operations, and the purchasing of traffic equipment.
