2. Program Overview
   As part of the ongoing COVID-19 Business Assistance & Economic Recovery Program, the City of Paso Robles has launched a new promotion to encourage Paso residents to support their local businesses through a discounted gift card initiative. The purpose of the Paso Robles "Keep It Local" Gift Card Program is to assist local businesses in surviving the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic by incentivizing customers to purchase gift cards or gift certificates for goods or services via a 20% discount offer to help drive additional revenue to local businesses during this difficult economic period. Through this program, eligible local businesses can promote and sell their full-value gift cards or gift certificates at a 20% discount to customers, and the City will reimburse the businesses for the 20% difference on validated sales so that businesses receive the full value revenue of the sale. Maximum cumulative discount reimbursement from the City will be capped at $1,000 per approved business. To encourage sales, the discounted Gift Card program will be promoted to the public by the City and stakeholder partners via press releases, newsletters, and social media sharing. Participating businesses' names and contact information will also be listed online for the public. Participating businesses are strongly encouraged to likewise promote the program to their own customer base, social media followers, and newsletter recipients, etc.

6. Eligibility Criteria for Businesses*

   Due to limited funding for this program, the City has identified the following criteria in order to assist small local businesses. Check all that apply to your business:

   1. Headquartered in the City of Paso Robles with a current City of Paso Robles Business License.
   2. Small Business with 25 employees or fewer.
   3. Have the ability to sell and redeem gift cards or gift certificates.
   4. Continue to comply with all applicable City of Paso Robles, County of San Luis Obispo, and State health orders, guidelines, and directives in regards to COVID-19.

34. Approved businesses will be notified and provided with a Gift Card sales reporting form to complete and return to the City.
36. Reporting for discount reimbursement:
    Businesses can submit their completed Gift Card sales reporting forms along with proof of gift card purchase documentation on Fridays. Discount reimbursement checks will be issued to participating businesses twice monthly
38. Applications from eligible businesses will be accepted as long as funds for this program remain available.
